Sunday we slept late, and then Alan's mom took the kids to play at McDonalds for a couple of hours. We got some lunch while they were gone, and then met them in town for a quick trip to Walmart. We brought the kids home and got them ready to go swimming at Alan's grandparent's house. We swam for a few hours, and then hung out on the deck talking about our favorite colors, foods, songs, and animals while we waited for the firework display by their house to start. It was nice swimming, just the 6 of us in one place doing the same thing together. Alton and Alyssa loved the fireworks, but Landon was terrified. I had to hold him, and he whined the whole time about being scared. lol Laikon had no clue they were even happening because it was way past his bed time. We came home and fed the kids the latest supper of their lives and then finally made it to bed by about 11.
Today the kids did a lot of playing, while I was mopping the kitchen and doing laundry. They pretended the vacuum cleaner extension was a sword. They made me a burger out of the CJ's BUTTer container and some shoe inserts. They brought blankets and their animals out into the playroom and pretended Alyssa was the mom and she was tucking the boys in. They gathered clothes in plastic bags and pretended to be coming home from Walmart. Alyssa bought me several new outfits. :) They played outside for a bit, while Alan grilled tonight's meat. Then we did baths, cleaned up the boys' room because they had moved the beds and took the mattresses off while pretending to camp. We read stories and put them to bed.
Hopefully I will get back to posting daily now, since we shouldn't be busy late at night much any more, except tomorrow when we are going to see some more fireworks. Maybe Landon will like them better this time.
(Laikon couldn't have asked for a sweeter big brother.)
(Laikon is getting close to 3 months. Better late than never right? And little fatty outgrew all the white onesies. lol)
